Central Illinois soybean crush margins hit 5-week high

DDG prices remained steady in all regions on Monday April 22. Market sources said demand remains flat, and reported steady values that align with current price ranges.

CME grain prices shifted higher across the board on Monday April 22. May soymeal increased by $0.60/st and closed at $344.30/st. May soybeans increased by $0.105 and settled at $11.61/bu. Furthermore, May corn futures rose $0.0625 to $4.39/bu, and May wheat increased by $0.2 to $5.70/bu. The start of the week showed substantial gains in grain prices following a round of technical buying. The persisting dry weather in the US Plains, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Black Sea regions, and the latest export inspection data released by the USDA all contributed to the increase in prices.
