US soybean oil, meal exports surge week on week

US net soybean oil and meal exports for 2023-2024 surged in the week ended April 18, data from the US Department of Agriculture showed on Thursday April 25.

Domestic soybean oil exports for the current marketing year climbed by 76.47% week on week to 3,000 tonnes. The US exported 2,000 tonnes to Venezuela and 800 tonnes to Mexico over the period. The US exported 1,700 tonnes of soybean oil during the week ended April 11.

 
Net US soybean oil export sales for the 2023-2024 marketing year soared to 16,200 tonnes in the week ended April 18. 

Increases for Colombia (12,000 tonnes), the Dominican Republic (3,500 tonnes), Venezuela (2,000 tonnes switched from unknown destinations) and Mexico (700 tonnes) were offset by cancellations to unknown destinations (2,000 tonnes).
