Phillips 66 brought its long-awaited Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex online during the first quarter of 2024, but it is not producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) yet, the company said in financial statements released on Friday April 26.
The Rodeo plant’s SAF capabilities will come online during the third quarter of the year, the company said.
“We’re concurrently in negotiations with partners,” said executive vice president Brian Mandell during the earnings call. “We’ve seen a lot of interest in SAF.”
