Porcine bloodmeal FOB Missouri River price drops week on week

Limited trade was reported on Friday April 26 for US animal proteins, while prices widened downward.

Fastmarkets assessed bloodmeal, porcine, fob Iowa/Missouri/Nebraska at $1,025-1,150 per short ton on Friday, widening downward from $1,050-1,150 per short ton on Thursday April 25. Market sources reported trade as low as $800 per short ton.

Fastmarkets assessed poultry by-product meal, pet food, 14 Ash 64 Pro, fob US Southeast at $750-825 per short ton on April 26, widening downward from $775-825 per short ton on April 25.

Excess inventory levels have been reported from the southeast region for pet food poultry by-product meal.

Weekly review
US animal proteins were highly unsettled to lower for the week to Friday due to stronger beef slaughter, steady pork slaughter, lower export demand in several regions and limited price movements in the grains and meals markets.
