Fastmarkets’ research forecasts hog slaughter at 2.400 million heads in the week to Saturday May 4, down by 2.13% from the same period in 2023.
Over the next six weeks, hog slaughter is expected to average 2.342 million heads per week, higher by 0.68% year on year, according to Fastmarkets’ research.
