Central Illinois soybean crush margins hit 2-month low

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) grain prices were mixed on Monday April 29, with May soybeans rising by 1.25 cents per bushel to settle at $11.60 per bushel and May soymeal jumping by $8.30 per short ton to $348.30 per ton.

Meanwhile, May corn fell by 0.75 cents per bushel to $4.39 per bushel, and May wheat declined by 13 cents per bushel to close at $5.90 per bushel.

Corn prices decreased following a round of technical selling, but strong export inspection data limited the losses. Soybean prices showed moderate gains after a wave of technical buying, while wheat prices finally declined, ending a seven-day streak.
