US corn, spring wheat planting progress surge week on week

Grain prices on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) mostly fell on Tuesday April 30, except for May corn, which rose by $0.0025 per bushel to close at $4.39 per bushel.

May soybeans decreased by $0.1525 per bushel, settling at $11.45 per bushel, and May soymeal dropped by $2.00 per short ton to $346.30 per ton.

Meanwhile, May wheat fell by $0.0525 per bushel to $5.85 per bushel.

Corn prices showed minimal gains, while wheat prices dropped for the second consecutive session due to another round of technical selling. Soybean prices showed double-digit losses following a round of technical selling, influenced by South American harvest progress.
