Feathermeal, ruminant bloodmeal prices lower; March IE MM well above 3-year average

US domestic feathermeal prices were lower in all six regions on Tuesday May 7, with reports of buyer pushback due to excess inventory levels in the market.

Fastmarkets price assessment for feathermeal, fob US Carolinas was $455-480 per short ton on Tuesday, down from $470-510 per short ton on Monday May 6.

Fastmarkets assessed feathermeal, fob Minnesota at $525-575 per short ton on Tuesday, down from $550-600 per short ton on Monday.

And Fastmarkets price assessment for feathermeal, fob Delmarva Peninsula was $450-480 per short ton on May 7, down from $480-510 per short ton on May 6.

Downward price pressure was also reported on ruminant bloodmeal in both the Missouri River and Texas Panhandle regions.
