DCO production falls, Gulf UCO trades higher

Used cooking oil (UCO) traded at 41.5 cents per lb delivered US Gulf on Wednesday May 8, up 1.5 cents per lb from the last reported level. UCO was higher out of the California FOB markets as well, up to an average of 33 cents per lb.

Distillers’ corn oil (DCO) prices were higher on support from tighter production last week.

US ethanol production was estimated at an average of 965,000 barrels per day for the week to Friday May 3, according to the US Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) Weekly Petroleum Status Report released on Wednesday. The estimate was down by 22,000 barrels per day from the week prior.
