Fastmarkets research team forecast hog slaughter at 2.425 million head in the week to Saturday May 18, up by 0.75% from the same period in 2023.
Over the next six weeks, hog slaughter is expected to average 2.329 million head per week, an increase of 1.01% year on year, according to Fastmarkets research team.
