Prices for animal fats were flat on Wednesday May 15 with limited trade volume reported while several participants indicated they had traded ahead of the current week due to the Fastmarkets Biofuels & Feedstocks Event in Chicago on May 13-15.

US ethanol production was estimated at an average of 1,00,000 barrels per day for the week to May 10, according to the US Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) weekly petroleum status report released on Wednesday. The estimate was up by 35,000 barrels per day from the week prior.
