Organic corn prices decline over first half of 2024

Organic corn prices have continued to decline moderately over the first half of 2024. As with other organic grain markets, organic corn prices can range considerably depending on volume, geography, and established trading relationships.  Midwest organic corn is commonly trading in the $7-$7.50 per bushel range but also continues to transact at levels above $7.50 per bushel.

Organic cracked corn imports continued unabated through Q1.  These volumes are not recorded by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and are in addition to over 24,000 tonnes of organic whole yellow corn.  While the future of organic cracked corn imports from the Black Sea region are uncertain, they remain a key trade flow in these markets for now.
