Organic cracked corn imports rise 9% year over year

Organic corn and cracked corn imports continue to flow into the United States. According to the U.S. Customs Department, organic corn imports rose 17,800 tonnes in March, the latest data available from the Foreign Agriculture Service. Most of the organic corn imported into the U.S. came from Turkey.

During the last 5-years, volumes from Turkey have been tiny except for the 14,500 tonnes delivered in March and 48,500 tonnes delivered in October. We are unsure of the whole corn delivered in October 2023. Third-party vendor data lists these volumes as organic cracked corn and U.S. Customs lists the imports as organic whole corn.
