Renewable power company European Energy and Swiss aviation company Metafuels will partner to build a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility near Padborg in southern Denmark, the companies announced on Wednesday May 22.

The power-to-liquids (PtL) facility will produce approximately 4.3 million liters (3,500 metric tons) of SAF per year and will be built adjacent to a planned European Energy “power-to-X” facility, the companies said in a press release.
