Trading in the US animal fats and oils market was dull to wrap up the holiday-shortened week and month. No price changes were reported on Friday May 31, with the bulk of activity completed at midweek. 

Average weekly prices were firm to higher for fats and oils, with the upward momentum driven by strength in soybean oil futures, a further widening in the bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) price spread and overall robust demand from several sectors for fats and greases.
