Please Note – The Animal Proteins bulletin will close trade at noon US Central Time on Fridays. The early close will remain in effect on Fridays through September 1st.

May monthly average summary
US animal proteins were lower on monthly averages for May compared with the prior month.

Monthly averages on meat and bonemeal, both porcine and ruminant, were lower due to the elevated values at the start of May, buyer pushback, lackluster export demand and pressure from lower soybean meal and grain by-product values.

Fastmarkets’ assessments for meat and bone meal, porcine, fob Missouri River and for meat and bone meal, ruminant, fob Missouri River moved lower on the monthly average for May, down from April by 0.12% and 10.04% respectively.
