Grease prices were higher on Tuesday June 4, while tight supplies and strong feed demand continue to propel prices higher.

Additionally, higher temperatures in the Midwest have affected quality levels, limiting the amount of choice white grease (CWG) and bleachable fancy tallow (max 4% free fatty acid) available in the spot market.

CWG FOB Missouri River traded in a range of 40-43 cents per lb on Tuesday, with the bulk of action reported in the 40-42 cents per lb range. CWG was higher on an FOB basis out of the Indiana and Carolinas markets as well.
