Six-week hog slaughter forecast up from 2023

The Fastmarkets research team forecasts hog slaughter at 2.38 million head in the week to Saturday June 15, up by 2.1% from the same period in 2023.

Over the next six weeks, hog slaughter is expected to average 2.29 million head per week, an increase of 0.8% year on year, according to the Fastmarkets research team.
