US corn export sales drop 52%, falls below USDA estimates

Chicago Mercantile Exchange grain prices were mixed on Friday June 21. The July CME soybean futures contract rose by 5.25 cents per bushel to settle at $11.60 per bu.

The July soymeal futures contract increased by $4.20 per short ton to $361.80 per ton, while July corn fell by 4.75 cents per bu to $4.35 per bu.

Meanwhile, July wheat declined by 11.25 cents per bu to close at $5.61 per bu.

Weekly export sales, released June 21

Soybean
US soybean export sales for 2023/24 reached 556,500 tonnes in the week to June 13, up by 48% week on week and by 89% from the four-week average. Export sales for the 2024/25 crop season were 84,000 tonnes, resulting in total sales of 640,500 tonnes.
