There will be no publication of the Grain & Feed Bulletin on Thursday July 4 because Fastmarkets’ US offices will be closed in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Most grain prices on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange fell on Wednesday July 3. The September wheat futures contract decreased by 7.00 cents per bushel, settling at $5.74 per bu, while August soybeans increased by 7.50 cents per bu, closing at $11.57 per bu.
Meanwhile, August soybean meal fell by $0.20 per short ton to $350.10 per ton, and September corn dropped by 2.50 cents per bu to $4.05 per bu.
Weekly ethanol update
Weekly average ethanol production in the US rose to 1.06 million barrels per day in the week to Friday June 28, up by 21,000 bpd week on week and up by 0.4% year on year, according to reports by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
