International Animal Proteins 4 July 2024

Meat and bone meal (MBM) prices in the Chinese market have risen in the trading week ending Thursday July 4, with reports of prices as high as $500 per tonne CIF.

MBM 50% protein was reported at $430 per tonne CIF Vietnam during the week, but market sources continued to report challenges for exports, due to the very stringent import process which has slowed shipment processing into the Southeast Asian country.

Poultry meal prices were lower into Southeast Asia this week on slower demand and seasonal pressure.
