Most values in US animal proteins were flat on daily values for the week to Friday July 5, even though weekly averages moved lower due to late week adjustments in the week to June 28.
Overall negative price pressure remained on feathermeal for the end of the week to July 5, though most values saw light price adjustments. Market sources were mixed on inventory levels and demand for the shortened week, creating widened ranges.
Fastmarkets assessed the feathermeal, fob Mid-South weekly average at $465 per short ton, 2.52% lower from $477 per ton in the week to June 28.
Fastmarkets assessed the meat and bonemeal, ruminant, fob Missouri River weekly average at $285 per ton, 1.42% up from the week to June 28, when values were at $281 per ton.
