Gulf UCO trades higher; DCO, tallow steady

Distiller’s corn oil (DCO) traded at 51.5 cents per lb delivered US Gulf on Thursday July 18, while FOB markets were quiet.

Choice white grease traded higher out of the Mo. River and Carolinas markets on Thursday, with the bulk of reports at 45-46 cents per lb FOB Mo. River.

Strong demand from feed and the biofuels sector continues to support the grease market, but multiple sources have suggested that the high price relative to corn and soybean oil is starting to put a cap on prices.

Used cooking oil (UCO) was higher into the US Gulf market, with trading reported in a range of 47.5-49.0 cents per lb.
