Wheat futures shift higher following dry weather; corn, soybean futures slide

Most grain prices on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange fell on Friday July 19. The August soybean futures contract decreased by 1.25 cents per bushel, settling at $10.97 per bu, while September wheat increased by 7.50 cents per bu, closing at $5.42 per bu.

Meanwhile, August soybean meal fell by $0.40 per short ton to $336.80 per ton, and September corn dropped by 0.75 cents per bu to $3.90 per bu.

Wheat prices showed a modest increase after dry weather in several key production countries triggered a round of technical buying, while soybean and corn prices faced minor losses to close out the week.
