Glycerin prices stable for second week

Glycerin prices were unchanged during the week ended Friday July 26, market sources reported to Fastmarkets on Monday July 29.

One market source reported no recent change in price but said “we might be seeing some willingness to accept slightly higher prices,” because spot market supplies remain tight.

Markets continued to decline after news on July 26 that the US Court of Appeals had vacated some of the small refinery exemptions (SREs) denials that the US Environmental Protection Agency made in 2022.

Soybean oil futures fell for a fifth consecutive trading day, closing at 42.84 cents per lb.
