Missouri River porcine meat and bonemeal prices under pressure

The US animal protein market was steady to down on Monday July 29, with very little price adjustments.

Overall price pressure was indicated from several market sources on porcine meat and bonemeal, though the range remained at $325-365 per short ton for Monday. Trades were reported below and above the published range but could not be confirmed at the time of publication.

Soybean prices were down on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), keeping most buyers and sellers unmotivated on a typically quiet Monday.

August soybean futures were at $10.57 per short ton, its lowest level since the autumn of 2020.

Soybean meal August futures moved slightly higher, at $355.50 per short ton, up by $2.55 per short ton from Friday July 26.
