US porcine meat and bonemeal, feathermeal under price pressure

Porcine meat and bonemeal, as well as feathermeal, were under price pressure on Tuesday July 30, while the rest of the US animal proteins market was generally flat.

Traded prices for porcine meat and bonemeal were reported as low as $300 per short ton in the Missouri River market. Sources said that buyers pushed back against offers above the assessed range.

Fastmarkets assessed meat and bonemeal, porcine, fob Missouri River at $300-360 per short ton on Tuesday, down from $325-365 per ton on Monday July 29.

Fastmarkets assessed meat and bonemeal, porcine, fob Eastern IA/ILL at $300-365 per short ton on Tuesday, widening downward from $325-365 per ton on Monday.

Feathermeal prices were mixed on Tuesday, with tighter ranges indicated in Alabama/Georgia and Mid-South, as well as lower ranges in several other regions, though no trade was reported above previously set highs.
