Organic soybean prices hold steady

Organic soybean prices have largely moved sideways through 2024, holding their value around the $20/bushel mark, according to Fastmarkets’ published pricing for “Soybeans -Organic, Feed Midwest”.

There is some question about the size of the organic soybean crop this year, with organic corn often being a safer bet for growers. The University of Minnesota Cooperative Extension found the average net return for organic corn to be about twice that for organic soybeans in 2020. The average organic corn acre returned nearly $500/acre, while soybeans just over $250/acre.
