EcoCeres obtains storage near planned Malaysian SAF facility

Hong Kong-based biofuels producer EcoCeres announced on Monday August 12 that it had leased 26.4 million gallons of fuel storage space near its planned biofuels production plant in Johor, Malaysia.

The Malaysian facility will produce renewable diesel, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable naphtha, utilizing used cooking oil (UCO) and waste water from palm oil mills as feedstocks. The hydrotreated esters and fatty acids (HEFA) plant is expected to come online in late 2025 with a production capacity of 115 million gallons per year.
