August animal proteins under pressure, except bloodmeal

US animal protein prices were steady on Friday August 30, with light trade volumes reported for the day.

August monthly average summary
US animal proteins monthly averages for August were mixed compared with the prior month, although most prices were down, with exception to bloodmeal.

Monthly averages on meat and bonemeal, both porcine and ruminant, were down from last month, with price pressure indicated throughout the month. However, lower slaughter levels for the summer limited price changes, especially on ruminant.

The monthly averages for meat and bonemeal, porcine, fob Missouri River and meat and bonemeal, ruminant, fob Missouri River assessments were lower month on month by 9.49% and 0.88% respectively.
