July US soybean crush, corn consumption rises above monthly, yearly levels

US soybean crush rises in July
Soybeans crushed for crude oil totaled 193 million bushels in July, up by 4.6% from June and up by 5.3% from July 2023, according to the USDA’s Fats and Oils: Oilseed Crushing, Production, Consumption and Stocks report released on Tuesday September 3.

Crude oil production totaled 2.3 billion lbs, up by 6% month on month and up by 6% year on year.

Soybean oil production reached 1.85 billion lbs during July, up by 8% from June and up by 6% from July 2023.

Soybean meal production stood at 4.27 million short tons, up by 5.5% month on month and up by 4.5% year on year.

Production of soymeal intended for animal feed totaled 4.21 million short tons, while production for edible protein products reached 51,826 tons.

Soymeal stocks totaled 396,929 short tons in July, down by 8.2% from June and down by 6.7% from July 2023.
