US animal by-product production falls in July; feathermeal stocks up, MM/MBM/DRT down

US animal protein prices were steady to lower on Wednesday September 4, with market participants indicating light traded volumes for most products; some sources said that the trades were likely arranged prior to the Labor Day weekend.

Most traded prices reported on Wednesday were unchanged from Tuesday September 3, apart from bloodmeal prices, which narrowed downward day on day.

Fastmarkets assessed ruminant bloodmeal, Missouri River at $950-1,000 per short ton on Wednesday, narrowing downward by $50 per ton from $950-1,050 per ton on Tuesday.

Fastmarkets assessed ruminant bloodmeal, Texas Panhandle at $925-1,000 per short on Wednesday, narrowing downward by $30 per ton from $925-1,030 per ton on Tuesday.
