Four cars of renderer-grade bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) traded at 48.75 cents per lb on Tuesday September 10 on a Chicago basis. Meanwhile, bids for edible tallow in the region were received at 54 cents per lb, reflecting steady interest in higher-grade product offerings.
Choice white grease (CWG) prices in the US were assessed stable on Tuesday at 43-43.5 cents per lb, with pricing indications received at the higher end of the range. Sources continued to report strong demand and fairly tight supply.
In the California markets, used cooking oil (UCO) prices for both the Northern and Southern California regions were assessed higher on the day at 40-41 cents per lb and 42-43 cents per lb respectively.
Yellow grease also traded higher in the California markets, with continued support from the feed market.
