Trading in the US animal proteins market was quiet on Wednesday September 11, with no changes reported.

Fastmarkets’ research team forecast broiler slaughter at 171.65 million head in the week to Saturday September 14, 1.06% lower than the same period in 2023.

Over the next six weeks, broiler slaughter is expected to average 171.92 million head per week, higher by 1.16% year on year, according to Fastmarkets’ research team.
