Weekly average ethanol production in the US was 1.08 million barrels per day in the week to September 6, up by 19,000 bpd from a week earlier and by 4% year on year, according to reports by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Wednesday September 11.
Ethanol stocks totaled 23.71 million barrels, up by 360,000 barrels week on week and up by 12% year on year.
Demand for corn increased by 1.8% from the previous week and by 4% year on year. Approximately 16 million bushels of corn per day were used for ethanol production.
Livestock feed production totaled 115,493 tonnes in the week to September 6. Distillers’ dried grain (DDG) production accounted for 102,717 tonnes, with the remaining amount consisting of 10,780 tonnes of corn gluten feed and 1,996 tonnes of corn gluten meal.
Gasoline supply decreased by 460,000 bpd from the previous week to 8.48 million bpd but was up by 2.1% year on year.
