European market for animal fats and oils higher on strength in biodiesel, gasoil markets

Distillers’ corn oil (DCO) traded lower into Manly, Iowa on Monday October 7, falling by 0.25 cents per lb from the last traded price, the lone report in what was otherwise a very quiet trading day in the US market.

In Europe, sources reported used cooking oil (UCO) trading at $1,000 per tonne CIF Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA), with a trade marking a $30-40 per tonne increase from last week’s trades amid higher biofuels prices.

In the European domestic market, offers were heard at €1,000 ($1,098.44) per tonne DDP North-West Europe, while no fresh bids were heard during the day.
