YTD porcine, ruminant meat and bonemeal prices widen relative to soybean meal futures

US animal protein prices were steady to slightly higher on Tuesday October 15, although limited price adjustments were indicated. Most market sources reported a steady tone due to limited trade volume.

Several market participants were traveling or attending the American Fats and Oils Association (AFOA) conference this week, which should limit trade, Fastmarkets understands.

Fastmarkets assessed bloodmeal, ruminant, Missouri River at $875-975 per short ton on Tuesday, widening upward from $875-950 per short ton on Monday. Prices above that range were indicated but could not be confirmed as of press time.
