Bp’s Pan American Energy considers production in Argentina’s nascent SAF industry

Pan American Energy (PAE), a joint venture between British Petroleum and Argentina-based Bridas Corporation, is considering sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production at its refinery near Buenos Aires, according to media reports on Monday November 4.

The decision has not been made, reports said.

This would be the second announcement of a SAF plant in Argentina. In October, Grupo Bahía Energía announced plans to build a production facility to make corn-based bioethanol as a feedstock and output as much as 50 million gallons per year of alcohol-to-jet SAF.
