US soybean meal prices down to 2020 levels

There was limited price movement in the US animal protein market on Thursday November 7, with market participants reporting prices in line with Fastmarkets’ current assessed ranges.

Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean meal values remain under pressure, dropping to monthly average values not seen since 2020, when most markets experienced significant price devaluations.

The October monthly average for CBOT soybean meal was at $312.73 per short ton, down by $85.82 per ton year on year and by $32.80 per ton month on month.
