Missouri River, Texas Panhandle ruminant bloodmeal prices higher on active demand

US animal proteins were steady to higher on Monday November 18.

Bloodmeal demand was indicated as active by market sources, although some buyer hesitancy was reported. Ruminant bloodmeal trade prices in the Missouri River and Texas Panhandle regions increased due to the approaching Thanksgiving holiday. Prices for other items on the US animal proteins market were steady due to limited trade.

Fastmarkets assessed bloodmeal, porcine, Missouri River at $900-1,000 per short ton on Monday, flat from Friday’s range of $900-1,000 per ton. Prices above the range, as high as $1,015 per ton, were reported but in light volume.

Fastmarkets assessed bloodmeal, ruminant, Missouri River and Texas Panhandle at $900-975 per short ton on Monday, up from Friday’s range of $875-960 per ton. Offers were reported above the range but could not be confirmed as trades as of press time.
