US weekly soybean, wheat, corn export sales surge; soybean above estimates

Corn
US corn sales for 2024/25 were reported at 1.49 million tonnes in the week to November 14, up by 14% from the previous week but down by 40% from the prior four-week average, and within the USDA’s expected range of 1 million-2.2 million tonnes, USDA data showed on Thursday November 21.

Much of the increase came from Mexico (787,400 tonnes), unknown destinations (146,300 tonnes), Japan (132,100 tonnes), Colombia (80,800 tonnes) and Vietnam (68,200 tonnes). The USDA groups undisclosed destinations under the umbrella term “unknown.”

These gains were partly offset by reductions for Spain (5,000 tonnes) and Ireland (1,400 tonnes).

The accumulated export commitments reached 170.9% of the USDA forecast.

Exports of 957,000 tonnes were up by 37% from the previous week and by 13% from the prior four-week average.
