US weekly average ethanol production reached a new record high of 1.119 million barrels per day in the week to Friday November 22, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) report on Wednesday November 27. This marked an increase of 9,000 bpd the previous week and of 10.7% year on year.
Ethanol stocks were reported at 22.869 million barrels, up by 306,000 barrels week on week and by 7% year on year.
Demand for corn increased by 0.8% from the previous week and by 10.7% year on year. Approximately 16.57 million bushels of corn per day were used for ethanol production.
Livestock feed production totaled 119,664 tonnes in the week to Friday. Distillers’ dried grain (DDG) production accounted for 106,426 tonnes, with the remaining amount consisting of 11,170 tonnes of corn gluten feed and 2,068 tonnes of corn gluten meal.
