Renderer BFT price falls on weak December demand

Renderer BFT price falls on weak December demand

Renderer grade bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) traded down to 43 cents per lb in Chicago on Monday December 2, down 2 cents per lb from the last traded level.

A lack of demand for December shipment tallow has contributed to the downturn in the market.

In Europe, market sources reported that T1 used cooking oil trading at $1,050 per tonne CIF Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp (ARA) for delivery in ISO tanks late on November 29, with indications increasing to around $1,080 per tonne CIF on Monday.

The domestic market in Europe was illiquid, with no fresh trades heard during the day because the gap between selling and buying interest remained too wide.
