Porcine and ruminant bloodmeal prices were supported on indications of tight to nonexistent inventory levels paired with active-to-brisk demand. Several market sources were sold up for the month of December, while others said active demand from the dairy sector elevated spot prices.
Fastmarkets assessed porcine, bloodmeal, Iowa/Missouri/Nebraska at $1,050-1,100 per short ton, up from Monday’s range of $950-1,000 per ton.
Fastmarkets assessed porcine, bloodmeal, Indiana at $1,060-1,125 per short ton, up from Monday’s range of $1,060-1,100 per ton. A trade as high as $1,325 per ton was reported for limited volume.
Fastmarkets assessed ruminant, bloodmeal, Missouri River and Texas Panhandle at $1,025-1,100 per short ton, up from Monday’s ranges of $925-1,050 per ton and $925-1,000 per ton respectively.
