September US domestic UCO usage trails import tonnage

Distiller’s corn oil (DCO) on an FOB basis traded lower on Tuesday December 3 on trades seen late on Monday and again on Tuesday.

DCO did trade higher into the Gulf at 49.25 cents per lb delivered, but non-Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) certified DCO was heard bid lower at 47 cents per lb, down by ½ cent per lb from bids heard on Monday.

Tallow traded into the US Gulf market at 45.5-46 cents per lb delivered after the close on Monday and on Tuesday for December shipment.

“January bids are running about a penny per lb below December prices due to the uncertainty in the market and the lack of guidance on tax credits,” sources said.

In other news, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) released September biofuel production and feedstock data, showing multi-month lows for biodiesel and renewable diesel production.
