Brazilian tallow prices for exports, max 15% free fatty acids (FFA), FOB Santos, were assessed to have gone up by $5 dollars per tonne in the week to Thursday December 5, to a range of $1,015-1,025 per tonne.
Buyers said that they were willing to pay the minimum level of most offers reported, starting from $1,015 per tonne, while some offers remained as high as $1,080 per tonne. No deals were reported during the week.
Prices for Brazil’s bleachable fancy tallow (BFT), max 3.5% FFA, CIF Sao Paulo, inclusive of 12% tax, came down slightly to 6.50-6.60 Reais ($1.08-1.10) per kg, tightening downward by 10 cents per kg over the week.
