Mixed species MBM prices tumble on heavy supply

Mixed species MBM prices tumble on heavy supply

Ruminant meat and bone meal (MBM) prices traded lower again on Wednesday December 11, falling to a range of $190-300 per short ton FOB Mo. River and down to $180-200 per ton FOB Illinois for renderer-grade material.

Sources continue to report excess nearby mixed species MBM supply, which is dragging down the bottom side of the trading range across the ruminant MBM complex.

Deals were heard as low as $150 per ton FOB Mo. River on Wednesday for mixed species MBM, but those deals were not confirmed.
