US weekly corn, soybean, wheat export sales drop; soybean below estimates

Corn
US corn sales for 2024/25 were reported at 946,900 tonnes in the week to December 5, down by 45% from the previous week and by 32% from the prior four-week average, USDA data showed on Thursday December 12.

Much of the increase came from Colombia (257,900 tonnes), Mexico (194,900 tonnes), Japan (143,400 tonnes), South Korea (70,000 tonnes) and Taiwan (68,700 tonnes). The USDA groups undisclosed destinations under the umbrella term “unknown.”

These gains were partly offset by reductions for Panama (23,100 tonnes), Nicaragua (3,000 tonnes), Guatemala (2,000 tonnes) and Morocco (1,600 tonnes).

The accumulated export commitments reached 167.5% of the USDA forecast.

Exports reached a marketing-year high of 1.183 million tonnes, up by 13% from the previous week and by 28% from the four-week average.
