Also creating increased market unease is the forecast of a snowstorm in the Mid-South to Southeast regions on January 9-10, possibly affecting poultry production.
Feathermeal prices were steady to lower in the Mid-South region at $360-420 per short ton on Tuesday, widening downward from Monday’s range of $380-420 per short ton.
Poultry by-product pet grade, Mid-South, Southeast and Midwest were assessed in a range of $500-600 per short on Tuesday. Spot prices were down from Monday’s ranges of $550-625 per short ton in the Mid-South and Southeast and of $540-900 per short ton in the Midwest.
