Although sources have noted that the news is likely bullish for the fats markets, it has temporarily slowed trade, with much of the industry likely focusing on formulating strategies in response.
“[It] might take a bit to see some trades,” one source added.
Even so, with no trades reported throughout the day, some bullishness is already being reflected, with market talk of higher prices heard for used cooking oil (UCO) in the Gulf Coast.
